With a click rate of 44 million a month and 1.3 million vehicle listings, mobile.de is Germany’s most heavily frequented and largest auto market on the Internet. Together with interactive tools, this market leader seated in Dreilinden near Berlin has optimised its Internet platform and overhauled the design of its e-commerce platform. The main objective was to implement the central functionalities and applications of the portal while combining it with maximum usability, so as to provide an optimised user experience for all visitors to the portal. Redesigning Germany’s most Frequented Internet Auto Market
In addition to the visual overhaul of the user interface of the portal, the project centred on the optimisation of the user guidance. The platform makes trading vehicles even easier and more comfortable. It also boosts the brand image of the Internet auto market by upgrading the emotional user experience. The redesign of the navigation and the restructuring of the page facilitate entering the portal especially for new users and ensure an optimal user experience.
Personalisation of the Dealer Area
Aside from the new design, the online offering was also expanded to include personalisation features. For instance, the “my space” type menu item “mein mobile.de” addresses each website visitor personally, and collates the user’s activities on his or her page.

In order to ensure a constant user experience throughout the entire usage cycle, we used our usability lab to test the visual logic of the new presence in the initial project stages for user friendliness and intuitive handling, and then proceeded to optimise the system in line with the evaluation findings.
