Minimize complexity with new infrastructure

In recent years, the historically evolved digital landscape of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme has led to a complex information architecture, rather inadequate user guidance and complex integration of CRM and marketing automation systems. In order to overcome these challenges in the future and move them to a central location, a customer-centric digital strategy was developed, which resulted in the introduction of a Digital Experience Platform (DXP).

The goal: a seamless customer experience - from corporate content to product information and digital services. The new digital infrastructure should also be scalable and future-proof and facilitate the integration of existing systems. The implementation of Magnolia DXP formed the core of the transformation by integrating and orchestrating marketing content, product information and digital services under one central roof.

The project began with a comprehensive analysis of the existing systems. As part of the initialization phase, target images and requirements were defined together with various stakeholders, linking creation and technology. A detailed roadmap and a clear implementation plan were drawn up to ensure that the implementation was structured and efficient.

A digital platform for the future

The main objectives of the project were to increase lead generation through a new marketing automation tool and its integration into the digital marketing platform. Campaigns and the right content strategy play a central role in this. The new Digital Experience Platform, which unites the various systems and websites of the Uhlmann Pac systems at a central point, now forms the strategic basis.

The introduction of the new platform makes it possible to bundle all content centrally and increase performance. The Magnolia DXP has also created the basis for a digital customer portal based on the same technology. The customer portal offers users a new customer experience with relevant services and consistent, high-quality user experiences in one place. Uhlmann's new website represents both the quality and innovative strength of the company, with sales and service processes taking center stage. The digital platform offers a seamless customer experience, ranging from corporate content to product marketing and e-commerce applications.

Centralized technology for efficient processes

With the introduction of Magnolia DXP, Uhlmann Pac-Systeme has implemented a central technology that coordinates product information, marketing content and digital services. The main focus is not only on improving lead generation, but also on the digitalization and automation of business and e-commerce processes within a consistent and uniform brand communication.

The microservice architecture and the headless CMS enable rapid adaptations to changing market requirements and seamless omnichannel communication. In addition, the new architecture offers both centralized content management and seamless integration of third-party tools for SEO, tracking, analysis and personalization in a “best of breed” approach. This creates a highly adaptable and scalable digital infrastructure that meets modern market requirements. The DXP is hosted in the Azure Cloud, with a single sign-on (SSO) based on the Azure Active Directory (AD) ensuring a seamless transition to other systems, such as the online store.

The core of the new digital landscape is the Magnolia DXP based on a headless/microservice architecture. This enables the centralized maintenance of company-wide content serverless in the cloud and the output of content via various channels. The flexible and scalable platform makes it possible to capture all document types in different language versions and present them in an attractive way. Future-proof web design

The web design of the digital platform conveys clarity, transparency and professionalism. Improved navigation enables users to find the information they are looking for more quickly. The responsive design ensures that content is displayed optimally on all end devices. The modular design system, based on the atomic design approach, ensures consistent and efficient development of new modules. The design system, including the design pattern library, enables Uhlmann Group to easily and uniformly transfer design elements to other company websites in the future.
