Making Berlinale and EFM mobile

We developed a user-centred mobile website for the Berlinale and the European Film Market. We not only adapted the core functions of the internet portal for use on mobile end devices, but also went further and created iPhone apps for the Berlinale and the EFM. Our focus here was to achieve the greatest possible level of usability.

Faster and simpler – the new Berlinale film portal

Besides the huge number of visitors, there is an enormous number of submissions to the internationally renowned film festival – several hundred every year, in fact! Via the newly designed portal, competition participants can submit their films even more simply. It makes life easier for the jury too as they can now intuitively call up the applications as required. In cooperation with the Berlinale’s Streamind service provider, the newly developed portal was implemented on the PHP Framework Symfony 2 and seamlessly integrated with the high-performance corporate FirstSpirit CMS.
